We don't know anything about company internals, it's worthless speculation. We know one thing extremely significant that happened to her at the time she chose to depart, and how her friends in the company have treated her choice. That likely put things into perspective for her life more than anything else. She needs some time to herself and wants to go on a different path. Everything she wants and needs can't be accomplished with a job that forces her to be a shut-in. You can't do the same, either.
