Back in the days cassete tapes were the way to listen to music and you couldn't really skippa skippa to the song you wanted.
Tapes are INHERENTLY sequential, you can't really get to the next song without passing by the previous one.
But in some players you could press PLAY + FAST FORWARD at the same time and it would just fast foward the tape
>making that high pitched BLULULULULULULULULULULULU sound skipping the whole song
and it would automatically unpress the FF button when it reached 2 seconds of silence
AND THAT is how "skippa skippa" worked in the days before CDs and digital music.
