>>2052837>THE HARDEST WAY TO STREAM IS TO STREAM AS YOURSELF>Most streamers do not start as characters, they become one. Something happens, it turns out to be funny. Then they do it again as a joke, then it turns into their reputation, then they build their entire persona around it.As far as getting publicity there are few things better than recognizeable memes attached to you, though. It fucking sucks if the memes are overused and applied incorrectly, but thats true for all memes. Can't be helped if the viewers are annoying and stupid, the inside jokes themselves existing is great as long as they are used with precision. You basically hit the jackpot if you have a widely applicable meme. "winning son" is overused, but its still good if roberu actually is lucky or shows great skill. "haha flat haha" is rarely relevant to the stream so it is a shit meme, exceptions being pic related.
The absolute best is to play a character which is actually close to yourself. Korone may be a squeaking happy dog, but she is also playing retro kusoge for hours
>In the end it is easy to play a character because you will have an easier time ditching said character when fate and your fans work together to turn your life into a joke. Ask Pewds. Vtubing is a blessing. There are many, many positive effects of VTubing. One of the biggest is the one that you do not have to put yourself out there and have an additional layer of protection. But it also makes it possible to detach the person behind the avatar from the avatar itself, which makes it possible to create fanworks akin to what is known from the anime and game communities. Even "the funny internet meme streamer men" PDP and F***** barely have any fanart. Why should they? Its dudes streaming, that would be weird and creepy. At most their community memes are becoming an ecosystem. Making fanart of an anime character is absolutely normal though. Even better if they have a theme, like clown where you already have a shoe in with other memes like the joker. And things like having a sheep and a lion creates character dynamics, even if they are forced. It makes it interesting.
