For the very same reason, senior women outright loathe their juniors as they serve as a constant reminder of what they once were, what they once had. The volatility of these fluctuations increase in both intensity and frequency as Real Age rises, reaching a flailing high at the Real Age of 50-54 years.
This is known as "Collip's Plateau". After peaking, the curve subsequently normalizes. Although theories have been proposed, the scientific community has yet to reach consensus as to why this happens.
