>>59927419ehh, to be fair I think that acrylic stands of their main concept art piece or of their model aren't necessarily crappy merch, both for what they are and for the fact that they're standard procedure; they're (relatively) cheap and much more acceptable to own and display than "high tier" merch like figures and dakis.
I think it's moreso that it WORKS as merch that everyone does it, as their low tier/entry level merch.
Actually crappy merch is usually the low effort low quality stuff; stuff that's made to be merch for the sake of having merch to sell, rather than convey something or have heart put into it by having the talent/streamer oversee its creation, or even design it themselves.
For example, there is a big difference between these two items, what they stand for, and how they were created.
