Kawaii hit GOLD with their third gen.
Numbers were higher than ever before, they had good variety of personalities, and things were looking optimistic.
But when the walkout happened, THAT alone was basically enough to doom the corpo once and for all.
Trust in them went to shit, nobody expected much of a recovery.
The gen after that was absolutely terrible.. and the gen after that one was okay but still didn't capture the magic that was gen 3.
They also stepped far away from their roots as a "girl only idol company" with the newer gens, alienating their existing viewerbase and dooming them further.
Sad to see but it's been a slow death for a while now and comes as no surprise to me.
