Well said shondo, and it's the same way for meeting the standards of God! We can try as hard as we want, but we always fall short, but that's because of the sin living in us
Once we put our faith in Jesus Christ and confess that He is Lord then we are freed from the shackles of the curse that is sin, if we hate sin then, but still do, then it's no longer us who sins, but the sin acting in us!
We are covered by the grace of God and preserved by the Holy Spirit that now dwells in us! The wages of our sin was paid in full by our God! We are no longer held down by death, because as servants of Jesus Christ, who defeated death, we too are not subject to it!
Jesus said: anyone that follows me, though he may die, he shall live
There is hope for us in Jesus Christ, through whom we can enter heaven and inherit eternal life and the kingdom of God!
