I'd like to also chime in on the feedback discussions. We've had opinions on this go around for almost as long as the thread has been the writing general. While any and all feedback is great, it's not fair to expect readers to force themselves to come up with something for the sake of it. It puts a sort of pressure on reader that makes it feel like a job rather than a pastime. You could wind up on the receiving end of feedback that isn't fully accurate, or even remotely helpful in that case, which can be more damaging than anything.
It's not really an easy question to answer, as every author is different in how they try to improve and what they do with feedback, but at the end of the day that sort of exchange has to happen naturally. It's up to all of us to contribute in a way that makes sense for us.
