>>98706345I got a CRT monitor recently for playing retro games and the tech is still so cool. It's so fundamentally different from everyday LCDs in so many little ways that I just forgot over time. Like it's crazy how changing the resolution on a CRT is just a completely trivial operation and happens instantly (as long as your refresh rate stays the same), whereas changing the resolution on an LCD fucks it up for a few seconds as it tries to figure out how to scale things. CRTs also display low resolutions just insanely well. Like it's crazy how good even 800x600 looks on a CRT.l
