>>15446177I follow as much the small corpos as structure than their talents.
Cyberlive came a bit late into the game and thus had to rush things a bit. Luckily they met Lumi and I assume the scout noticed her insane drive : high effort streams during 4 months to about 10 viewers despite no growth, shilling insta/yt on to of twitch, preparing streams to share educational anecdotes with gameplay... that pick really stood out and carried Cyberlive's infancy after a rocky start. Honestly a very critical moment.
For comparison, PhaseCo started auditions in January announced the picks 4 months later and debuted 2 months after that in June iirc. Cyberlive debuted auditions in April and debuted in July.
Their 2nd gen auditions also felt too fast, but I feel there's a rush as many small corpos are scraping the talents around thus artificially making some kind of bubble.
Their contract is "too good to be true" tier, 15-20% only with possibility to leave with the model later, little to no obligation in term of games to play or schedule, freedom of plate-form... you think where's the catch? Likely it's an initial risk hoping to attract interesting talents.
Gen2 still lacks identity a little bit, the designs are a bit all over the place. I wish they let Lumi be their star of bethlehem and gave her more weight in finding their direction. Like they put everyone on YouTube again. Twitch is still free to take for small corpos who too often just try to emulate hololive and hololive = youtube so youtube = success in their head it seems. The crumbs of hololivers only get you so far. Stars always have helped people find directions.
About the talents, there are some good picks.
Menace is the darling here, I wouldn't say the most outstanding of her gen, she has experience, good at improv and zatusdan. She was good at networking but on youtube and within a corp it's a bit limited.
Chapipi is is the one I can see going far, despite current numbers. Emma filters me hard but she has the numbers, good for her, and I assume not much overlap with other talents in term of audience.
Overall given how it started it's pretty great to be where they are now clealry. They still need more to get somewhere with those contracts, like idk someone from gen2 team up with Lumi to take over a part of Twitch just waiting for it, or they try to release cover or originals, they have great singers.
The 3D stuff can be an interesting buff too on top of it.
I have hopes, I think some talents are a bit isolated from other and I would definitely check more gen2 if I aw them interacting with Lumi, for example.
