Otsonny!! The awaited sequel to sonny fighting game moveset was definitely the stream of all time. It subverted my expectations, considering I expected him to get more into his specials or aerials and knock out another four or five drawings, but instead what ensued was two hours of pure, concentrated, progressively-escalating seethe. Great stream for the pissed-off boy enjoyers out there. The jabs I take at him are all out of love, I'm a (washed-up) artist myself so I know how fucking irritating it can be trying and failing to recreate the image in your head. Anyways, after further giving the middle finger to architects (AGAIN?) by talking about his nonexistent appetite and saying he could barely finish a bowl of curry, ze artiste donned his beret once more to draw a super move, which of course involved a gun... actually I'm surprised he took this long to incorporate it; I always imagined he'd have a pistol like joker's neutral B in smash. Regardless, he pulled up a cool reference for his cyber rifle and got to work on a base pose. Considering he's apparently learned the power of construction and simplifying the body into shapes I thought this would go a bit smoother, but I underestimated him. You could tell he was trying really fucking hard to get this one out faster than some of his past drawings and I acknowledge that. He got the basic stance down, but even with the reference from his own lore video, perspective on the legs and arms was fucking him up when he tried to actually do some half-decent linework. Even getting up and doing the pose himself (with a hearty BABABABA for good measure) couldn't save him, and backseaters in cases like this are probably not especially helpful either considering a... number of factors actually. Shading? Who needs shading? At times, he fell into a frustrated silence, with just the BGM and his keyboard clicking broken up by the occasional sigh, swear or groan. Great background noise experience, just rename the stream to "two hours of chill music occasionally broken up by angry sonny." Hyperbole. I appreciated the daipan and cunt drop though. In the end, after fighting with proportions (he should just make the wide hips canon) and his outfit, he reluctantly saved his mostly-finished masterpiece and really did just ragequit art after one drawing. Incredible stuff from sonny today, I enjoyed it. Proud of him for not deleting the whole file on the spot. In the end, as I said I shit on him in jest, some days are just bad art days and that sucks especially bad when you have a drawing stream scheduled. I commend him for 1. sticking through a bit longer than he probably wanted to and 2. doing it with a mouse. Above all else, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find his outbursts mildly gratifying KEK... I'd let him take his frustrations out on me if I were there. Thank you for the stream sonny and good work today! It was fun to witness more of your autisti— I mean, artistic prowess Be kind to yourself, don't give up yet! The emotional highs and lows of art are like a rollercoaster with a 90° drop, and I'd like to see you finish that moveset someday. Some people were doomposting about his mood by the end but I have no doubts that Zelda will cheer him right up tomorrow, we'll see how long he goes since he did acknowledge frequent 12hr streams were maybe not healthy.
