just realized in the story mode for gbvs rising i think if you have 2 players you can have them play as the 2nd character on screen (when you go into controls it has player 1/cpu/ assumedly player 2 if plugged in)
so if fwmc does play gbvs rising and go through story they can both play, story is like a side-scroller beat em up but with boss fights that are the traditional FG, the 2nd character fights alongside you in both
even more things to the list of why to shill this game to them... after new years/december is over i likely will
