>>95972527Ahhh that's completely understandable. It's why I couldn't go this time, since I can't justify a short trip when it'd be nice to also make the most of it. If you really can't change the work situation though, even if you leave early you are still getting to enjoy a trip that you might otherwise not make memories of if you don't go. And even if it's a short trip, they will still be a lot to carry back with you. You'll have the energy of having attended the festival, and maybe you can start working on planning for another Japan trip soon if possible. I have a friend who did that recently, and her motto was that once you've gotten a taste of something you like, then you'll do all you can to make it happen again.
