Ain't even mad, just a bit disappointed
Not even just at the fact that she delayed the MC, as I saw that coming already with yesterday's delay and today being the last day of scrims, so I expected it. What disappoints me though, is how instead of taking the opportunity to get proper sleep for tomorrow's big game, she actually had the energy and willingness to stay up late and play. And she did. Just another game than what she was supposed to. She had the time and energy to play late till night, but couldn't do the thing she promised two times to do.
And I'm not really buying the excuse of extended games either, because they actually did play extras during scrims, but they didn't participate due to some teams leaving. Regardless of that, a 15-team lobby with good teams still make better practice than diamond ranked no matter how you slice it, so they didn't take the opportunity of proper practice either. It's literally just wanting to play more Apex. I'd appreciate if she was just hoenst and said lol i wanna play apex now so i will, that's respectable at least for the honesty. No need to sugarcoat things when everyone knows it already
Oh well, I guess the silver lining is that these things don't happen THAT often outside of tournaments, so I can't be bothered to get too bothered about it. But I really can't see how you would defend this conduct when it happens several times in the span of a couple of weeks. I guess part of loving your oshi is recognizing their flaws/shortcomings. Thank god I actually like Apex, otherwise stuff like this would probably bother me a lot more. I might watch the real tournament on Reid though, for the great commentating and varied POVs. I've seen enough of festival's POV especially with the stream delays in place for more Apex.
Sorry for the blogpost lol, just felt like getting it out there. It's strange that I don't feel angry or even that disappointed at all but when I really think about it from an outside perspective I can really see why people get upset with this shit.
