>>108309165Allow me to explain why this perception exists, as an Autistic Man born in the late 90s and being diagnosed at a young age I often dealt with Normalfags while I was growing up, obivously Vtubers werent around back then so ill use closer examples, Video Games and Anime were often unappealing to this group, and so a lot of these people will not understand the appeal which I guess is fine, for Neurotypicals I imagine its difficult to simulate the autism experience, a lot of people don't see Vtubers has helpful to male loneliness but in a way I must respectfully disagree as I believe it to be a healthy coping mechanism (there isn't a lot of spaces for anime and video game fans to meet up with one another and make new friends regularly especially in non-major Urban areas (even smaller cities like Boston and Seattle have this issue) and so the internet is the next best thing, and Vtubers often being female and appealing to male sexual desires as well as having generally good personalities and are in all honesty far less toxic then other fandoms (believe me i also like gaming and pro-wrestling), while I do get Unicorns are bad, I think watching Vtubers is perfectly acceptable as long as you dont take it to weird levels
