Basically they teach you how to learn while teaching you the fundamentals of your field, i feel like a lot of ppl going into college these days think they can just go to college and be ready for the work force when they graduated.
Your employer only cares that you got a diploma because it's easier for them to filter resumes, having a nice gpa is a plus.
