I've had drives fail in the past and I just scramble to replace them. A lot of my files can be replaced in the short-term since it's all shit from private trackers that I just don't wanna delete because if the tracker ever goes down it'd be gone forever. For important files like passwords, my schizo diary text files, and random game projects I store them on a separate 128gb USB stick.
