Otsonny!! Finally back at it in hyrule, and what was supposed to be the "last" botw stream before the finale became... probably not that. He went in with a rough plan of what he wanted to accomplish: shrines, memories, dlc, sidequests (though he mentioned that he wasn't going to be as autistic about finishing every quest since they were starting to get a tad repetitive), but of course he got distracted, and it even ended up being his longest stream yet. And just like before it flew by, man I've missed spending my night with him. Lots of misc activities and some housekeeping today so bear with me. We know he's been playing offstream a little in his absence, but it did take him some time to get back into it... started with a shrine out in hebra he unlocked but didn't complete, and we went from there. Surprising amount to do in this corner of the map, actually— aside from the usual shenanigans and enemies he found another maze to explore, and naydra, whom he helped free from the malice. This was a pretty goofy sequence to watch without bows, it was really funny when he'd toss a bomb, fall on the flying dragon, and tumble along its back in some cartoon shit. After some deforestation for the sake of flight, he decided to head to Zora's domain to check in on the denizens and explore the surrounding area some more. Giving frogs to children, snooping in diaries, normal activities. He also did some more bartering with kilton so he could pay a hefty fine for dark link's outfit (and proceeded to run around in blackface for at least a half hour), after which he questioned how he could get link's classic outfit... complete all 120 shrines?! He was at ~80 already, surely he could accomplish this task today (he could not). With some careful consideration and pizza on the way, it was back to adventuring. There was also a LOT more treasure hunting in this stream, he's become awfully reliant on that radar… though, in the end, he decided maybe going after every single silver rupee wasn't worth the effort and opted to turn it off in the overworld next time; I think it especially irritates him when he spends 10min running around trying to figure out where the incessant noise is leading him to. We will be free of blipblips, if only briefly. He did some more blood moon cooking, which he acknowledged as… not particularly interesting (though I think it's satisfying to watch in its own way), and after a hearty dinner of 'za it was back to finding that damn ceremonial trident. Very funny watching him slowly lose his mind as he ran around the bottom of the domain and fished up every magnetic thing in sight. At last, he finally found it, but then the shrine quest itself was another problem— one of the few times he asked for backseating after shooting arrows, zipping up the waterfall and back down again in a desperate attempt to decipher the cryptic riddle. Just a plunge attack onto the pedestal with the trident the whole time… he was a little mad and decided to go elsewhere shortly after, even if more disappointment would follow. Why would you call it TALUS plateau if there's no talus? At least he found a hinox and a lynel guarding some rupees… it was really kind of funny just how many times he'd open his map, glance at his hero's path, and say "wtf there's still so much left to explore." More zelda, woo! Our next destination was the area surrounding hateno tech lab, which meant more shrine quests (what did calip ever do to you sonny?) and of course yahahas. He also spent a substantial amount of time looting as many dead guardians as he could in front of fort hateno. Cue about another hour of dilly-dallying and he found himself back in the plains, up against a lynel wielding the biggest weapon in the game— once he got 1hko'd he quickly realized what he was up against. Still, despite a couple new moves to adjust to, it's mostly just getting the timing right on parries, and it was dead in no time. Now he wields his first lynel crusher… omedetou! The last couple hours of stream were rather entertaining and horse-focused; he took on the quest to find ganon's horse, and got thoroughly sidetracked by a horseback archery challenge that ate up his arrows and a bit of his will to live… got some cool horse armor out of it though. I think he was also very impressed by the absolute size of ganon's steed once he finally found it. Please treat king better than you did hans, thank you. We ended today by helping out a woman in a questionable relationship with her orb and searching for chests until the end. Fun stream today, quite literally too much tomfoolery for one post but it was certainly both comfy and funny. Not 100% sure how productive I'd call it, but he got some stuff done at least… yeah we've definitely got at least two more botw streams left, this game isn't done with him yet. 85/120 now! Congrats on finally making peace with bows sonny, rest up so you can be ready for more zombo and reading on Friday. See you later! o7
