As for enemies, I could see two ways of handling formers:
>Formers are zombie buns of various descriptions. Buns are cute and simple to draw right?>Formers aren't zombie buns but when beaten they become buns instead of corpses (because you removed their bones)Could combine the effect to, with zombie bun being some sort of Bone Buns and then being simple goofy looking seabuns when killed (maybe with a static "Thanks" floating above their head).
As for the demon enemies themselfs it gets trickier. I suppose they could also be buns or they could be various kinds of skeletal creatures maybe? That requires more talent than I think I would possess.
