Even in recording I've been a giant pain in the ass artist type to any producer I've worked with because I prefer to not know what the fuck I'm actually trying to do. The fear and adrenaline makes the take better because I know I'm unequiped to do what I'm supposed to, but I rely on subconscious competence a lot in lieu of actually practicing anything. I prefer to be on an emotional rollercoaster of "oh god I'm fucking garbage but I can't let the hells beneath sweep my feet from under me". There are so many fuck ups and mistakes that are actually beautiful that in recording, I want them to be there. Or I'm a lazy degenerate idk. Maybe both.
