The story revolves around Orihime and Hikoboshi being separated and forbidden from meeting, only being able to meet once a year so long as Orihime completed her tasks and the weather was good. This meeting is possible thanks to a bridge formed by magpies who fly up to the sky (is this the Milky Way?) that Orihime crosses to meet her lover.
Now with that in mind, micomet are separated and the bridge only forms once their task of burning/granting wishes is complete. Once they’re done, Suisei leaves her side and crosses the bridge but is stopped by the others so they can move on to the next task, a ton of shilling.
