Hey, it's "Airshow photoshop anon" here. I'm one of the people who took a break from this iteration of the thread, mostly because I was pissed people fucked with the OP on principle. I'm not actually at my personal breaking point to leave for good, so I guess I'll post more next time.
That being said, I wanted to share a personal anecdote on the topic. I was one of the people originally pissed off about the Rye-posters. I agreed she wanted to move on from /tactical/ and I felt like breadfags, being hounded by idolfags at the time, were looking for a thread to leech off of (because she certainly can't support her own thread). It was (and did) bring a shitton of fucking drama and I was sick of it.
So that was the birth of Airshow photoshops. They were my way of snarkily backbiting at the culture war playing out in the thread, but without writing garbage text-posts. It also felt a little more "positive" to suggest an alternative vision of the thread: "why not Airshow?" Why not enjoy and discuss one of the fine streamers the rest of the thread enjoys and loves? Over the next few months, when I saw Rye fanart being posted (and had time to actually make something), I'd throw together a new photoshop as a "response" to the breadposters.
But the funny thing about the whole process is that it changed my perspective on things. Because I was making the photoshops in response to breadposters, in a way my shops needed the breadposters to exist. I mean, the joke's just not fucking funny if you don't recognize the original image. Maybe a few of them like "pregnant Airshow" can stand on their own stirrups, but I was starting to enjoy the process of making the photoshops. So, in a really stupid way, I'll be sad if the Rye-posters leave—but, as I said, this isn't my personal breaking point and I can post without them.
My point is that fucking with things has consequences you may not expect. Also, I totally expected this OP to be a disaster the moment I saw it.
