Blame anime encoders and their insistence on being the only fuckers using 10-bit H.264. I didn't have many options - 10-bit H.265 will work in even less browsers, if it works at all, and the only other well seeded copy I noticed was a fucking 1080p 10-bit AV1 with the grain synthesis function enabled. So good for whoever has Threadripper or a Ryzen 9, or HW decode AV1 in a newer GeForce, which I don't think works in browsers anyways.
