I need /wg/'s input on something.
I'm working on chapter 3 of Cover High/Pekora, and it's proving to be way longer than I initially anticipated. Without spoiling anything, it's supposed to take place over the course of about a week. I just passed 10k words and I'm not even halfway through the first day. At the rate things are going, this one chapter is going to end up being very, VERY long. And with my current output at a measly 1 page a day, maybe 2, it could take quite a long time to finish. I've been considering breaking it into multiple shorter chapters, but chapters 1 and 2 were both self-contained stories that reached a satisfying conclusion by the end, and I'm hesitant to break that trend by releasing chapters that end on cliffhangers. Would it be better to just keep it all in one piece and keep working on it until it's done, however long that might take, or to split it into chunks that can be released sooner?
