>>22933876The symmetry grid is necessary when making a front facing live2d model, at least for the base, if the model isn't uniform by design I can just turn it off and manually modify each side. Bodysuit anon's model is very symmetrical if you ignore the legs though.
But yeah, if I was requested a 3/4 model, or a model in an specific pose, sure symmetry is mostly useless.
