The "Christian narrative" is grounded in history and has a great deal of evidence to back up its claims, that alone is great enough reason to believe it over other non established narratives such as the one proposed by you, given that such an unfounded narrative directly contradicts the Christian one in multiple areas.
For this reason and for many others, such as the Bible's great track record with prophecies being accurate, the Christian narrative is a strong one to believe as opposed to basically any other religious narrative.
