Civia never should've been like that in the first place, to be completely honest, and I don't think anyone's really tried to justify the behaviors of Civia in the past. However, with the advent of Rushia, it brought much more attention to the issue, and thus people are clamoring for change, even those who have the most benefit from that, because when you hear hololive stock trading game, do you think Rushia/Civia should be the most expensive coins when they're depersoned from Hololive? The answer is simply no.
Things change out of necessity and nothing should stay the same just because that's how things were. If nothing was ever changed with this game (You) would be owning only Gura instead of Mori and also likely would've benefitted from millions of Rushia shares as a result of her broken volume.
