>>84051961Wompthany Womptano here, /vt/’s busiest music nerd. Today I’m going to be reviewing Akuma “Numi” Nihmune’s complete discography. Starting off the top:
Pizza in the Cosmos – Cute girlpop song complete with ukelele. Could imagine it in an episode of SpongeBob where one of the side characters gets a romantic B plot.
It’s Hell Baby – It sounds like an Asian girl auditioned to be a part of Rapper’s Delight by Sugar Hill Gang but didn’t make the cut. It’s old so surely it gets better from here, right?
Sandwiches – I appreciate the honesty of this title. It’s not easy to come up with a catchy or cool title like “Mercury in Retrograde.” Will say it’s kind of weird how the vtuber with the “I’m a horny virgin” routine is writing soulful expressions about bittersweet breakups.
What a Great Day to Enjoy Some Ham… It’s Pretty SWAAAAAGGGG – This is the kind of song Coqui and Meat wish they could get for their BRB screens.
Slightly More Depressing – Friends – What if you took a song from Persona 5, added jazzy guitar riffs and
Emperors – D*mond*ce type flow but with a really basic beat.
Socks on Top – I’m a sucker for when people make harmonies with different layers of their own voice. Song overstays its welcome, though. Doesn’t need to be over 3 minutes long.
Stranger Nights – Ignore. This is just some mix she fucked around with and felt like sharing.
Thighs – This is what I expected every Numi song to be. It’s shit but I don’t blame her since it just seems like something she would make to appease the Noomba masses with their exquisitely high-brow tastes.
I’m not a plum kisser – This isn’t supposed to be good. It’s cringe but in a good way. Reminds me of early YouTube where people would make rap videos about stupid shit and the bars are all constructed like poetry 101.
Sunshine on my Mind – This just feels like a “girl struggle anthem” and sometimes that’s okay. It feels soulful. I wonder if she cried when she was coming up with the lyrics.
Bunny Girl Senpai – I started cringing 12 seconds in but perservered for you, /lig/.
Edgy Toxic – A departure from her usual sound. It’s cool she’s trying something different here but the only redeeming part is the chorus.
Mommies – This is terrible.
Growing Pains AKA She’s Akuma Nihmune – The combination of Numi’s raspy yet nerdy voice on this hard-hitting beat is 10/10.
