It allows for some things you wouldn't be able to do otherwise. It would be cool to use Biboo Emotes during a rock slide, or any of the love hearts during a collab.
HOWEVA, it should be opt in. There is no reason as to why this should need to be posted. This is someone's actual emote on Youtube, BTW, points if you can find the channel.
