>>85317333You are right to assume that closing the EN branch will do major reputational damage to Anycolor. But some of that reputational damage has already been done, in the form of CNBC dunking on Niji EN, live on Japanese television, and by name.
Every day that passes is a day closer to the point where keeping EN nominally extant, even with only a skeleton crew of minimum-wage part-timers, will cost more money than formally closing the branch. Once that day passes, AC will be forced to choose between the reputational damage of closing the branch or the financial damage of not closing the branch - and not closing the branch also has the added reputational damage involved in trying to pretend that the very obviously dying branch is not dying, of pretending the Titanic still sails even after her bow and stern have dipped below the surface of the Atlantic.
The branch is doomed to closure, but there are still some questions:
>When the internal decision to close EN is made, will the person(s) who made the decision give any sort of advance notice to other people within the company (including the EN livers) before making the public announcement?>When the public announcement is made, will it be made with any sort of advance notice to the public? Or will the announcement be a "the EN branch is closed effective immediately" announcement?>Obviously they're not gonna acknowledge the presence of internal factors like gross mismanagement, much less actually cite them in the public notice. But will they cite any sort of external factors, or even "external" factors, in the public notice? And if so, what factor(s) will they cite in their ham-fisted efforts to shift the blame as far away from management as possible? >And will they or won't they blame Selen, whether explicitly or implicitly, for the branch closure?None of us can know the answers to these questions until the public announcement is made, and it's almost impossible for any of us to know the answer to the first question. But I am expecting the announcement to be made in a few months, once the bow and stern dip below the surface.
