Also a small/medium size towel, and a thinner/softer worn tee shirt.
Goals:
Stay in the bathtub as long as possible
Keep the water as hot as possible
Keep your body at the perfect temperature
The water level never rises more than a few inches
So what you want to do is to have hot water constantly steaming up the bottom of your body, while the top of your body is exposed to air. If you are too cold, you can put the soft tee shirt on top of your chest and keep it dry. You can try the towel for this but it may be too warm. If your neck hurts, the towel can double as a pillow/cushion.
After enough time you will hit a zen state where the top of your body is no longer chilly. It can take a while to get here, easily over a half hour. This whole time you are fiddling with your temperature bath knobs with your feet. Right now my bath is at 45°C / 113°F but I'm gonna take it up a bit I think still. Again, my goal is as hot as possible without overheating.
Maybe I spend 3+ hours in the bath per day. Picrelated dumb slut Lum doesn't understand you shouldn't sleep in the bathtub that way. I could teach her...
