>>12238864Lol, there are corpo girls that have been vtubing for 6 months or even longer and haven't gotten to 50k subs yet and often get around 100~200 live viewers and still chug along. My oshi has almost been doing this for a year and is below 10k subs. Everyone's situation is different. Some people have things set up to prepare themselves for the long grind, others pool their resources in to get them by for about a year and if they don't take off they'll have to seek alternative means of employment. I've seen the latter with a female face streamer that saved a bunch of money from working and gave herself a set amount of time (I think about a year) to invest into streaming and if she didn't take off she'd have to seek employment in her specialty once again. She ended up abandoning the channel.
Thankfully they are girls so family will be willing to support them for awhile, and some already have jobs and either stream on the side or do their other job on the side of vtubing. It is highly unlikely most of these girls will drop out at a year, they have been grinding for a lot longer and now found explosive growth with Niji EN, why throw that away after grinding it out hard as an indie?
