I've never shaved, so I have a limited frame of reference for whatever the fuck Chloe's talking about, but no, you don't get the whole bush "soaked in piss" or whatever weird shit you're imagining. Any leftover wetness is typically due to vaginal discharge in the underwear (yes, it's cold, can be kind of uncomfortable, but is still healthy, depending on color/smell). I don't know about the "helping it direct piss" thing, but it's just... a straight line. I don't know that I've ever had to "aim" in my life. The smell isn't really anything out of the ordinary, i.e., there is no distinctive "piss" smell. That being said, this is why we always wipe and wash our hands afterwards.
Yes, odors and bacteria and all that crap can get trapped in the pubic hair. This is what it's for (side note: this is why it's actually more unhygienic to shave - you're taking an axe to one of your main defenses against bacteria). You can safely wash The Bush with (SCENTLESS) body soap because it lies outside the vagina. Vaginas cannot be washed on the inside with normal body soap because they are very sensitive.
