The lack of any local branch from either Holo or Niji has allowed the local vtubing scene to grow pretty much untouched. So now there's a sizable scene of local KR vtubers across Youtube, Twitch, and Afreeca (a KR streaming service). VLUP is the one of those that are mentioned here and there in the /vnug/ + /kr/ thread. But there's also V-llage, VRECORD, Isegye Idol, and various other indies of significant note (Maoruya, etc.). It also helps that many of these new vtubers were former NijiKR, so that made the original change from /nijikr/ to /kr/ much easier.
