>>87171600Picked up some voicepacks on a whim. I like the globie girls, but stuff like youtube tax and merch shipping puts me off from supporting them much. If streamlabs and VPs are about the same cut, I might as well get some nice audio out of it.
Voicepack review:
I don't know Barb for her soothing voice, but the scenario was cute in a very Rhubarb way. Some smug, some pon, and lots of light trolling. If you've ever been to Japan, I think you'll enjoy the little references. It's all the things I like about her in a neat little 8 minute package, even the knuckles part.
Bonnie had a totally different setting, which I was happy to see. some hag love right from the start, nice character references (I forget the whole airship engineer thing), and some silly and sweet moments. Her horny bastard side didn't make it into the script, so it feels like a slightly different aspect of her.
Overall, I liked the production quality, especially SFX like crickets, footsteps, and the audio moving with the scene. I half expected a copypaste summer scenario, but both were very tailored to the talent. I'm not sure if a staff member would know the members this well, so I'm sure the talents had a lot of input on the script as well as the key visuals. In other words, they worked hard on it!
I like the lighthearted quality, medium length content, and how much personality gets packed into each script. Both did great at keeping their natural voices too; I'm used to a bit of script voice uncanniness, so I liked that it was like an extension of their streams.
