Honestly the highest tier kino is something like Devil May Cry and action games like it. Games that can balance a wacky and serious tone effortlessly. Campy, but can truly have heartwarming and even thought provoking moments. It doesn’t have to be the deepest shit, sometimes chasing that can make other things about your story suffer. Sometimes what speaks to humans closer hit the nail on the head on what it takes to be kino.
