I think the indie trend was great in the 2000's and early 2010's. It brought us some amazing games that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
But now its starting to become a hinderance as the market is flooded with so many games. Its hard for indies who put a lot of effort in their games to get noticed in the crowd.
