Alright, newfriends, open wide. I'm going to tell you the story of Phase Enemy /#/.
/#/ is the "Numbers" general on /vt/. It's a thread that's supposed to focus on discussion of "number" metrics - CCV, sub counts, revenues, VOD views and such.
The first issue is that trying to reduce vtubing to a number-based popularity contest is an incredibly dumb idea.
The second issue is that the people who actually like that dumb idea are the kind of undesirables you don't want to see on the board.
Over time, /#/ has attracted and retained some of the worst schizos, antis, falseflaggers, doxxing aficionados and miscellaneous vtuber drama enthusiasts the community has on offer.
The thread has long devolved into a melting pot of vtuber drama, and the locals are well known for creating numerous catalog bait threads, raiding other generals (including /pcg/), buying bots to screw with number metrics, encouraging and engaging in "console wars" between fans of different vtuber companies, falseflagging as different fanbases to stir hostilities between them on /vt/, falseflagging on other platforms, compiling screenshots of their own falseflags to use as "tribal war" ammunition, and more. They love and enjoy corporate wars and drama, and will go out of their ways to create more of both.
This is why /#/ is nearly universally hated - and a big part of why any discussion of metrics like CCV is heavily frowned upon. It's not uncommon to see calls for /#/ to be banned entirely - but while this blighted thread remains on /vt/, it remains an enemy to /pcg/.
