He's a sorcerer who deals in curses, and what is more of a modern curse than addiction? Promising people peace (shanti) and happiness and an escape from their troubles, drawing them into his web so sweetly and insidiously with the first dose for free... only to use them for everything they're worth once they return to him, dependent on him for their bliss? My god. Hats off to Shu, he fucking cooked like he's aiming for a Michelin star. I'm obsessed with this performance.
