2) Culture. It's kinda more accepting to be, for the lack of better word, an entertainer in Japan. I mean, check their shows and compare them to ours. Of course, you still catch side eyes because of your dishonorable jobs, but still, people are willing to be silly for the sake of entertainment. I honestly can't exactly remember when we here became so prudish and counter-cultural towards everything.
