You know I don't get unicorns at all. Honestly for the longest time I never thought about watching vtubers because it was so female dominant and it made me feel weird as a guy to watch some girl do shit on screen, acting cute and whatnot, I thought it was just embarrassing as hell to watch... And that's why I mainly stuck to Nijisanji because everything in it seemed to be more normal, still somewhat female dominant but that's a bit of a given considering weebs and all, but the guys were definitely entertaining to me and I started really liking them.
I only even really started to watch female vtubers because of the occasional mainstream holo clip my friend sent me before, but when I really tuned into streams was when NijiEN released, forcing me to really watch female vtubers. I was skeptical as heck, because all the other female EN vtubers I'd seen through clips were just basic girl larping as an anime character, but I'm glad Lazulight proved me wrong and they were actually interesting streamers. So then I got over that whole thing at the start, but even now I still don't get it, don't you guys feel embarrassed or ashamed that you're blasting some cute girl voice over your speakers or some woman screeching or something? Maybe I'm just an incel, but that's my honest feelings here. At least I don't have to be embarrassed watching milord Vox, even if he's pandering hard to his paypigs, he's still funny and entertaining as he does so. I just feel icky and weird when I have to go through the same thing but with a female vtuber/streamer. I literally skipped most of the shit people did on Valentine's day because of that. Even for my oshi Finana...
TLDR: Girls intimidate me and I find women acting cute highly uncomfortable but can tolerate it a fair bit easier if they're guys or if I've been eased into them enough. Also, FINANA LOVE!
