The UK has a living tradition of variety performers and TV personalities similar to what you find in Japan.
Meaning it's going to be a lot easier for UK based management (and talents) to understand the general idea of what Cover is aiming for. Something Americans are simply not equipped to do, unless they immerse themselves in Japanese culture and entertainment to a degree far in excess of simply enjoying anime. And even then there's going to remain a fundamental cultural disconnect.
Plus they're both island nations.
