On Youtube, a stream that goes beyond 12 hours is truncated to 11 hours and 55 minutes. You can stream more than 12 hours but Youtube won't save the entire stream, that's basically the difference. What some people do is end the stream at 11 hours, and start another stream so it can be another 11 hours long, and then you can stream as long as on Twitch.
