People keep moving on forward with their lives. In the end, all the people you ever met will be gone some day.
We cannot stop time. In the case of vtubers graduating it's kind of a stranger feeling for me because I know (in most cases) the persons behind the avatars are still out there leading their own lives, but the identities they leave behind stay around as a remnant of what they once meant for many. Meanwhile the other vtubers who they had a good friendship with keep going and it makes their already small world feel even more lonely. Then there's common practice of purging everything when a vtuber retires, which almost seems like a symbolic death.
