The proxy game started around earl-mid 2023, and for many months we kept going through rapid coom-doom phases, with shit going up and down and up and down...
Our golden age started around early October '23, when antigonus and fiz joined forces to make a mostly reliable public proxy. There were some ups and downs and the whole logging thing, but it was mostly stable. By the time antisugondese disappeared for good, charybdis (which used to only be open during weekends) was now up 24/7, and was remarkably stable. Many other public proxies popped up now and there, and we never went for more than a couple of days without easily-accessible Claude.
Around August/September of this year, queue times for Claude started getting noticeable much longer in every proxy, and later it was found out that it was because Anthropic decided to drastically lower the rate limits for the vast majority of keys.
In early October, there was a mass revokal of Claude keys, which are now extremely rare. Public proxies with Claude are usually gatekept with retarded riddles, and never seen to last more than a couple of days in the absolute best cases.
There is currently nothing to suggest that the availability and/or rate limits of Claude keys will ever go back to normal. You are here.
