>>40134192Grew up wanting to be an illustrator, quit when I was 18 because I was a mentally unstable fuck up and couldn't handle the amount of anxiety it gave me, spent years meandering around, finally got back to drawing around the age of 27, finally learned to enjoy it but had to stop drawing for a few years because of hand problems, only recently found a way to draw again without massive amounts of hand/arm pain. I started doing sculpting during the interim which improved my eye a lot, so even though I haven't drawn much in years my drawing skills actually improved because of time spent with sculpting. Now I'm juggling the two. I don't have much experience with anime stuff, tbqh. Most of my stuff is on the more realistic side, though that's mostly the sculpture. Anime is more fun to draw, but sculpting realistic bodies and faces is more fun than anime sculpture work.
I only wish I didn't have so many health issues so I could spend more time working on my art.
