>>1283502>and thus they associate exclusion with some sort of form of authority or powerAh you're the kind of retard that's against gatekeeping and think 4chan does this because muh sekrit club right? I'll tell you why it's justified:
Newfags aren't looked down in this site. Shocking right? Yeah, that's because there's literally no way of knowing if you're one or not based on your post alone unless you say it directly, in which case you'll be mocked for it even if you say it's your first day or have been here since day 1 you'll be called a faggot either way.
When people say lurk more, it means there's a certain posting culture that you have to try to adapt. No matter how clear the explanation you give, it's something that can only be learned organically by browsing this site constantly.
Because the posting style is different from twitter or reddit, some may come with that kind of ideology, but it's important to remember that not all sites have that same culture and you will have to adapt, thus spoonfeeding doesn't give new users a chance to integrate to the current userbase, and may lead to unnecessary conflict.
>but why do I have to adapt to this siteBecause that's how it is. If you don't like it make a thread on /qa/ or something, but when you go to an unknown place it's YOU who has to adapt first.
