IRyS seems like the main heroine of a romantic comedy anime where she appears as some kind of ethereal, powerful divine being at first, than quickly the audience and protagonist find out she's a clumsy girl who doesn't have it together and needs constant supervision otherwise she gets into mischief. But then there are times when she shows her cool side like when she starts to sing or dance, and suddenly you remember she's a mystical being from out of this world. And then, during the last episode, the timing is perfect, and she and the protagonist meet up just as they Promised in an earlier episode, right as the fireworks start to explode. Then...captured by the moment...without thinking they slowly close in for a romantic kiss...only to be startled by Bae's screams and Kronii's maniacal laughter as those baffoons barge in and unknowingly cockblock IRyS and the protagonist, and they snap out of it and put some distance between themselves and check on Bae/Kronii, laughing nervously trying to forget what happened earlier. And now everything is back to square one with no romantic progress, and the group gets together and walks off, yapping and laughing into the sunset as the credits roll. And if you want to find out what happens next, you'll have to read the manga which goes on for several years with no meaningful development, and then ends on a really sour note which makes you wonder what the hell the mangaka was thinking and why do all mangakas seem to enjoy taking a massive shit on their own works like this with such a disappointing ending that doesn't resolve anything and creates more questions than answers.
