>>59557314Micheal Bay is a genuinely skilled director, he's a terrible writer but his directing chops are incredibly solid and he has a great understanding of how to use VFX for action. Go back and watch Transformers 1, the CGI especially in the action scenes hold up flawlessly, looks better than a lot of stuff today even. He knows when to use a practical car throwing rig, or a giant exploding gas truck, he would unironically be the ideal director to handle something like Heavy Object.
