>>28512171I read it and you missed the one thing that every one of your examples (Mori, Suisei, Gura, Towa, Moona, Risu) has and even the ones you missed (Sora, AZKi, Okayu) also have:
>the "gap"Every single one of those breaks expectations because there is a dissonance between the what people expect them to sound and how they actually sound
Think about it:
- Okayu and Towa: they are cute as a button but their singing voice is like the one of a crooner, a Ikemen.
Towa, for instance, in yesterday's Pekora live, damn she nailed her performance.
People go from "she's cute" to "HOLY FUCK, THAT'S HER SINGING VOICE!?" in a split second after she starts singing.
- AZKi, Suisei and Sora: you watch them playing Micra or Tetris and laughing and doing a regular stream and they're one more streamer but then when you listen to them singing in their lives you go "WTF, why are those girls wasting time behind an avatar playing vidya, they could easily be proper meatspace artists and very good ones too"
- Gura, Moona and Risu: the dissonance is set by the difference between their "animesque" streaming voices and their power singing voices
There is a reason everybody got FLOORED by Gura first and second unarchived karaoke, and by Moona EVERY unarchived karaoke, and by Risu Holofes appearance.
NOBODY expects a streamer with a fucking dolphin laughter (like Moona) to have such a powerful voice.
That was one of the things that contributed to her incline, during her MoonArchitect autism building she used to have some singing interludes and DAMN the audience was always floored by her oneesan singing voice contrasting with her dolphin fucking laughter.
